Biography

My name is Yunseok Choi and I'm from from South Korea.
I have been a Research Scientist in KAUST since September, 1 2013.
My major study is the seismic full waveform inversion.

I worked as a post-doctoral fellow at KAUST from September, 1 2009 to August, 31 2013.
Before coming to KAUST, I worked in Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute.
I received my Ph.D. in August 2007 from Seoul National University, South Korea.

Research Interests

My research interest is mostly focused on the full waveform inversion. Especially, I study several objective functions which can produce robust and efficient results in the frequency- and time-domain. Recently I have focused my interest on the unwrapped phase inversion and angle-filter waveform inversion.
