Zhendong Zhang receives the Chinese Academy of Sciences President Award

​All graduate students who are pursuing degrees in the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) with outstanding achievements in scientific research and technological innovation can apply for the President Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. However only 300 out of 47,000 students (less than 1%) won the award this year.

This year Zhendong Zhang (PhD student in SWAG) has been among the few to receive the Excellence Prize of the CAS President Award. 

About the Excellence Prize

This prize is a recognition of a graduate student’s scientific research achievements. Their work has reached a high degree of innovation or development in theory and has led to the publication of high-level papers in important international and domestic academic journals during the study period, or more important innovations in technology and in achieving better economic benefits for society.
